Buy Beef in Bulk

DECLARE YOUR FOOD INDEPENDENCE

BUY BULK ★ CUT BILLS ★ STAY STOCKED

If you are tired of paying way too much for groceries, we have a solution.

Many people are turning to buying in bulk to stay stocked, especially in these times of high inflation and supply chain instability.

But is buying in Bulk right for you? And how does buying beef in bulk work?

DID YOU KNOW?

A family of four typically consumes the equivalent of one whole steer's worth of beef each year. By purchasing a whole steer, you can save thousands on grocery bills by avoiding supermarket markups and beating food cost inflation.

How It Works...
Buying in bulk saves money, and time. When you order a whole or half steer from Montana Ranch and Cattle, we go to work. The process takes between 6-8 weeks, but when finished you will be supplied with a freezer full of 100% grass-fed, nutrient-dense beef.

How does this save me money?

Our price for beef in bulk is about $5.50 to $5.75 per lb. This isn't just your cost for ground beef. It's your average cost for all your beef, which includes all your steaks, ribs, and roasts.

Consider the cost for supermarket beef is between $9 to more than $30 per lb.

If your beef is truly 'The Greatest Meat on Earth' then why not sell it for more?

We do! You can buy individual cuts of Monatna Ranch and Cattle 100% grass-fed, nutrient dense beef at close to supermarket prices. But even then, we are still less expensive than many supermarkets.

The big reason is because we do not deal with the big four packing houses. Those are Tyson, JBS, Cargill  and National Beef Packing Company. These firms control more than 80% of the meat packing industry which allows them to set higher prices to pad their profits. However, we have no middlemen. When you buy from Montana Ranch and Cattle, you are buying direct from our ranch to your table. Without middlemen and markups, we can do well and still pass the savings on to you.

How much better is your beef?

Our cattle are raised without hormones, steroids, vaccines, or mRNA. Our cattle are 100% grass-fed, meaning we do not use grain to fatten our steers. Cattle are ruminants, so they are supposed to feed on grasses, not subsist on grains which can cause discomfort and distress. We also do not use feedlots or slaughterhouses. We harvest our cattle on our ranch so there is no stress, or transportation.

The end result is high-quality, nutrient dense beef that bursts with vitamins, minerals, and flavor.

Do I need a lot of storage space for a whole or half steer?

You will need adequate freezer space. For a half-steer, you will want a freezer with 6-7 cubic feet of space retails for about $160. Such a freezer will be paid for just by the savings on your first order.

A whole steer requires a large chest or upright freezer.

If you still do not have enough room, consider splitting the purchase with other family or friends.

What about the upfront cost?

The initial investment might seem high, but consider the long-term savings. For example, our whole steer  can yield up to 480 pounds of beef. This costs approximately $2,640 (at 5.50 lb), compared to $4,320 (at $9.00 lb) for the same quantity of lower-quality beef at a supermarket. We have options that allow you to split your payments over time, or you can split the purchase with family or friends.

What if my family doesn’t eat beef quickly enough?

A family of four typically uses a whole steer within a year. Our beef is properly packaged for long-term storage, ensuring it stays fresh. For smaller households, a half steer offers significant savings and is more manageable in terms of consumption rate.

Can I choose specific cuts of beef?

Yes, we offer customization to match your family's preferences. You can specify which cuts you prefer, ensuring you get the most value and enjoyment from your purchase. Our experienced butchers will guide you through the process.

What about the processing and packaging?

We work with professional butchers to ensure your meat is expertly butchered and packaged. This guarantees optimal shelf life and convenience, cut into portions that suit your family's needs.

How do I transport the beef home?

We offer flexible pickup or delivery options to ensure that your meat arrives in perfect condition, ready for your freezer. Our team will coordinate with you to make transportation easy and convenient.

Is the beef safe and hygienic?

Our ranch adheres to the highest hygiene and safety standards, ensuring that your beef is safe and of the highest quality. Proper storage guidelines are provided to maintain the meat's freshness. Compare this to feedlots and slaughterhouses which are infamously filthy, and supermarket meats that require dyes and special packaging to extend shelf-life. Fresh, from ranch-to-table is the way to go!

How are the animals treated?

We prioritize animal welfare and sustainable practices. Our cattle are raised in a natural, stress-free environment, reflecting our commitment to ethical farming.

By purchasing from Montana Ranch and Cattle, you're investing in superior quality beef from a family ranch that supports ethical farming practices and provides substantial savings.
