These cheesy scalloped potatoes make the perfect side dish for almost any dinner, or addition to any potluck supper. They are so delicious, we wouldn't even judge you for eating them on their own. We would do the same.

Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes peeled
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x9 or 2-quart baking dish.
Thinly slice your potatoes using a sharp knife, mandoline, or food processor. Move all of the slices into a large mixing bowl.
Pour heavy cream over the potatoes slices and sprinkle in some parmesan cheese. Add in garlic, salt, nutmeg, and pepper. Then toss together all the ingredients until the cheese and seasonings are evenly dispersed.
Empty into the prepared baking dish and spread out evenly. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, until potatoes are tender (see notes). Serve hot and enjoy!
Recipe Note
The baking time on scalloped potatoes may very depending on how thinly you sliced your potatoes. We have estimated about an hour, but please adjust the cooking time accordingly! Thinner slices may cook around 40 mins while thicker may need 15-20 minutes longer. Happy cooking!
